SMO - Moelwyn Surface Walk

Details :
We will see the abandoned Cwmorthin Terrace, Capel Rhosydd, the aborted wheelpit and Rhosydd barracks. Then the top of the Rhosydd Tramway, the steepest incline in North Wales. Walking over the hill to Croesor we will look at the adit and the fanhouse by the portal. Returning to the top of Rhosydd we will see the East and West Twll's including recent subsidence. Then we'll contour round and descend to the top of Wrysgan where we'll see the dam, abandoned mill and the top of the incline before descending back to Cwmorthin and returning to the vehicles. The walk will be steep and strenuous at times and cross rough boggy ground. Bring a packed lunch and clothes commensurate with the weather.
Although a surface walk, there will be opportunities to have a quick look in various levels passed on the way, so bring a lid & lamp.
A 6 mile walk from Cwmorthin past Conglog and then Rhosydd to Croesor and back via Wrysgan. Optional Lid & Lamp
